Not for me - too gruelling a prospect! Short and fast suits me better, so I'm off to Hillingdon where there's a tough but fun course using the land inside, and on the perimeter of, the road racing circuit.

gotta admit, hot stodgy food in front of an open fire was my first thought too

Have to admit it is a very long time ago, but if I recall correctly my 'young man's' mind never turned from one thing, winter, summer, rain or shine.

Nowadays the smell of wet dog, peat smoke and malt are reassuring.
