i have been hoofing in the overtime to save up for a VW T5, short wheelbase panel van 2.5 deisel 130bhp is the one i want, about an 06ish model.

then the plan is to stick a window in each side then panel and carpet the inside, then lowering and alloys. then later in the year i'll stick in some rear seats and a bulk head to separae the bikes from people.

When I was looking for vans a little while back I noticed that VW's and the Merc's commanded a premium over others like the Transit. Some of them I went to see were shagged and they were still asking top dollar.
Nice size those though, you ca fit in std car space and fit under those height bars.

i know you pay more for the VW's but i think it's worth it. the transit's look awful and the merc's don't hold their value and cost a fortune to service and repair and they rust badly. the VW's can look very "privately owned" very easily whereas the transit will always look like a work van. there are also so many mods and specialists outhere for the VW and if i come to sell it it will go for sensible money even 5 years down the line.

hoping to buy one in early to mid april, just need 3 more paychecks towards it
