Hi. A chance meeting with a bloke that does shot blasting while I was at work has meant the CC frame and fork is now completely paint free. Obviously then, next stop is the powder coating place, before it goes all rusty.
As for what to do with it, at the moment I'm thinking 1 × 8/9 speed, skinny slicks or knobblies, and drop bars. Pretty much an amalgamation of most of the ideas above then. I ran drops on my Dawes The Edge for a while, and that has the same frame dimensions (roughly) as the CC. It fitted me really well, and kind of wish I'd never taken them off.
I'd like to doctor the fork before the powder coating. It has brake bosses and a disc mount, and I'd like to remove which ever I decide not to use to clean up the look of it. I can run a cable disc or cantis off some road brifters, but that could mean mismatched wheels, which I can't stand. I'll figure it out. In the meantime, any more ideas?
