What brake/gear cable cutters do you recommend

A fast cut is always cleaner than a slow cut.
do you put a piece of scrap inner in the outer before cutting? Seems to me this may be easier on the cutter

They work very well for gear and brake cable outers and inners. For the outers, I poke an engineers scriber down the centre to make sure the plastic inner liner, that sometimes gets crushed when cut, is open:
