Today's Ride

Our current daily exercise route (a few days ago when we had a little more sun!) TBH we’re struggling to find off-road routes not clogged with walkers... the road section often seems the quietest!

Re:

Made the (now becoming) regular Sunday morning ride a bit more demanding, adding a couple more hills. My partner caught me by surprise a couple of times, catching up much quicker than she has previously. She finished the ride with a smile this time.

Beautiful morning, warm, about 18°c and a gentle breeze. Trails were very dusty.

Re:

Pastures new.

Late afternoon. 23°c - just on the edge of comfortable. Breeze - heading West towards home.

Did a large loop around Stansted airport totalling just over 25 miles.
Misjudged the route I was going to take which, it appears, would have come in at about 40 miles. Fortunately time caught up and I decided to start making my way home at about 12 miles out.
Lovely ride. Saw very few people, bonus. All the villages and hamlets I passed through were quiet.
Most of the ride home was into a headwind.

Used to live in the Farm at end of the runway :)

Re:

Warmest morning for a while at a scorching 12 degrees ;) Went for a run yesterday so nice to be back in the saddle today. The legs were feeling good and the trails are getting better and better. Just the one shot of the rhodi tunnel. I rarely go down this bit as it's too straight and boring. They've done a ton of cutting back as they'd gotten much too big.

No pic's today but blimey - short sleeves! What a wonderful morning and got a proper sweat on with plenty of arm and leg scratches as the greenery tries to take over the trails.
