The manual recommends waxing the frame with carnauba wax or similar, I would probably use a wax intensive furniture spray.

I have been rebuilding my GT STS 1000 DS and noticed that the bottom suspension support bar is bent and so was the bolt that went through it. Does anyone know where I can get a new bottom suspension support bar or if I could just get some tube stalk and cut that to size?

You need to buy one these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GT-STS-retro-TI ... 1415859154 And of course a new bolt, get 8mm stainless steel hard bolt and selflocking nut from the hardware store.

So you can install any regular air shock, instead of the Coil system from Rock Shox.

I have a LTS thermoplast. WIll the bushings fit and do you have the right chainstay as mine has a lot of chainsuck.

Here is mine...I don't think I posted in this thread yet.

Was set up as a DH so I rebuilt as a XC rig since I live in Florida

It's now all XTR
