It's a flite Ti as well so if can rejuvenate it that would be cool

Re: Going Straight

For tonight's instalment I decided to unbend the rims

I have cunning method for this, low tech and zero budget of course!

It involves bending them back again, but obviously this needs to be controlled and progressive

Here's my cheapo method of pushing them out:

Done in stages, clamp up tight against a piece of hardwood, I used maple go and have cuppa, release, check, clamp some more as appropriate!

The results are spot on

Most interested in how you straightened out these rims, I've got a rim I could do with doing the same with - so I think I'll give your cunning plan a try - thanks for posting the info.

First scratch build I ever did and I still use it

Yielded these beauties, two shorties, no good with a 52T big chainring... Three long cages

I used the roughest one:

Bike's in the car 'cos Mrs Hydora wanted to go for a ride today!

I turned my Mi80 into a WAG bike for her as it's really compact, sets up perfectly for her (seat angle looks iffy in this pic though):

Absolutely, as you can see, I don't bother taking the wheels off!

This is my second, first one (an '8 just got too many miles on it and started to feel a bit sluggish (at 250k) so I bought this one, a '93 - Some 4 years and 70,000 miles ago now of a total 199k on the clock
