Most of us took History to one level or another at school and beyond, so we all know what this country, and Europe, was like in the Middle Ages...

...why are we then outraged that the Middle East is at that stage of it's development, with the added complication of obscene amounts of money; and a Worldwide Arms Industry queuing up to relieve them of vast chunks of it? :roll:

Where would we be now if the Black Prince had automatic weapons, poisonous gas and nuclear technology at his disposal instead of a f*ck off great two-handed sword and Welsh archers?

We might have won the Crusades instead of being royally told to f*ck off back to where we came from.
The Islamic culture at that time was one of the greatest the world has known. It took the Catholic world several hundred years to catch up.
