Suggestions for replacement rim 1994 Kona Kilauea

Hi there

firstly thanks for helping me date my Kona. However I have just found out in a pretty serious way that the rims on this bike don't like high pressures. It had a 26" Mavic 230 SBP which just exploded on me - see pic. I feel like I'm unlikely to locate a second hand one easily and although I would like to try and keep this bike's components period, I may have to find some newer rims for it if I can't find one that's a good match. Can anyone suggest a good rim for this bike ? thanks

You shouldn't have a problem finding one of those rims. Pop a wanted ad up.

It consists of a Shimano Deore XT M737 Parrallax hub laced with 32 spokes to a Mavic 230 SBP rim. The hub spacing is 100mm for standard quick release skewers.

That must have made a load bang
edit it appears to have just ended plus that crack not good

Ha it was me who bought that one on eBay - before I saw the link here - it was more of a deep scratch than a crack - I'll take my chances with it - didn't have many other options anyway
