I a pretty confident the answer is that they will be fine, but I had an eight speed set up with new chainrings, if I want to go and use new 9 speed chain and cassette will it work? Don't think they'd be an issue but thought i'd check before I buy! Don't think chainrings are 8 or 9 speed specific?
