Snapped alu mech hanger - options

So I've decided to keep my 91 zaskar since it's great, however one bit that Im not satisfied with is the mech hanger - the original hanger has snapped and was part of the frame (as opposed to dropout), since then it has been repaired somewhat clumsily in my opinion with a frame saver type that wobbles around like it might fall of without a wheel attached - not great for gear set ups!

I have something that looks a little like this on there at the minute, but as I said its the wheel bolts that tighten to the frame as opposed to the fasteners:

As I see it my options are:

A - take it to a specialist and have a new hanger welded (that will cost lots and will be prone to snapping again),

B - drill out and rethread/mount the f-ugly hanger I already have (free since I can get the old man on the case with that),

C - attempt to modify the frame around the for a more elegant and replaceable solution (futureproofing to some degree, but possibly weakening the frame - I have to say those old zaskars are definitely in the built to last category when it comes to the amount of metal around the rear wheel mounts)

B and C are where Im angling at this point - Ill see if my old man things he could do some machine work for C, and if not go down the route of securing the current hanger better, possibly looking to replace it for something better looking (that fits the mounts) down the line. Any suggestions or words of wisdom welcome!

Oh, and I suppose another option could be to machine something to fit the current design - ie mounting to the holes already made and the panier bolt. I could have a few spares made too.

I'd be looking at C

Should be able to get a fairly straight forward milled profile and 2 or 3 chamfered through holes for bolts, then fit a replaceable hanger.

Don't even have to go to the "correct" thickness. There's a fair bit of tolerance left in the hanger position, if you have a ~3mm thick tab, just mill 2 mm off the face of the dropout and end up with the rear mech 1mm further over. You *should* be ok.

Only things to bear in mind is that the chamfers on the inside of the drop out might be tricky (the other drop out will be in the way slightly) and get a hanger that mounts on the outside and is easily available (or buy 15)

I suppose the obvious thing to do would be to mod for the later zaskar dropouts to fit...

I'll take some snaps later if i can get into the shed. My old man is over tomorrow so I'll pick his brains in terms of what he would be happiest doing.

I've no personal experience, but I think Wheels Manufacturing have a pretty good reputation for parts and tools.

Steps forward and back today- redrilled and tapped the one without a bushing- the ally is too soft to tighten completely. I need to get some imperial Allen keys to see whether the ones with bushings behind will tighten. If so I'll begrudgingly leave it as is - i still don't like it as getting the wheel on is a ballache due to the shitty way it has been lined up.

If that doesn't work I'm going to have some new bushings made and will drill out what is in there. Ill probably look for a different hanger too. Unfortunately champferring the frame out isn't an option, so it will be something of a hack whatever happens. I'd like a nice looking hack though, where the wheel can be taken off easily...
