As mentioned on the other thread my new (to me) frame arrived. Turns out it's a 26.4 seatpost. Handy.

The other thing is this little mystery frame detail. on the inside of the driveside seatstay. I've never had a frame with one on it before so therefore don't know what it is.

Any ideas?

Really?!? Why have never had one before? And why doesn't every bike have one?

And how can I be really sure you aren't making that up?

And does the sheer happiness I feel at my chain hanger make up for the bloody awkward 26.4 seatpost?
