Servicing hope callipers

I was hoping not be need any new tools. Are there any alternatives to the hope bore tools? I've a few sets of hope brakes so it may not be a bad investment. Are the bore tools for mini, race and the xc and v range the same or do I need more than 1 tool?

I have acquired mine as they have come up on here or if I needed 1 for a job then just checked who has them cheepest on the web.

Wow, looks like I'd need 7 different tools to remove the bore caps on 3 different hope brakes?

Yeah I’m in the same boat, but then I have also got 15/20 year old calipers still going strong so if you just buy them when you need them it’s not such a big deal. Although they are a bit expensive for what they are they make servicing a doddle.

I've actually tried with an adjustable driver, waste of time. Got one out (but it has a small gouge now) and the other one just has a gouge and didn't move. So i've left it for now, i'll buy the tools when i need them.
