Scott Superlite 1991

@ skolioza: When i look at your 1991 Boulder it comes to mind that i was driven by the same rider like my Superlite. Judging by the condition of the laquer. :D

Maybe you can answer this question: Who made the Scott forks? They do look a lot like Spinner forks but i guess you could tell for sure.

Never had 91 Scott 's rigid fork, but 92-93 was exactly made by Spinner
Later ones (96 or even 95 +) having just Scott signature in dropouts

Thanks for your reply. That means i am happy with my fork. Just will get rid of the Marin decals and it will be perfect.

Some ethyl alcohol and 1 hour later the green color looks the best it probably can. I also attached new outer cables.
Nothing spectacular but it's the little steps that counts.

Today i've serviced the front hub. That was easy. To put it back together without any play was not.
After that i cleaned some old grimey chain ring screws
and i removed the Marin decals from the Spinner fork.
The fork looks superbe but during the work i thought i am destroying some nice retro stuff there. Happy with the result but not to proud of what i've done.
Keeping in mind that i own two Marins maybe you can understand this cleavage.

Little progress today. I serviced the RH-M737 rear hub. This time i did better than with the front.
I also cleaned the original Shimano HG chain that came with this bike and even i like to clean things i can tell you it is not worth doing such a grimey thing. Now the chain is clean but my man cave looks like..well actually like a man cave. :D

Eventually i got a matching crown race. Yeah :!:
So i could install and set up the old and now again complete headset.

This headset is using bearing retainers. On the top everything was fine with that. On the bottom i checked the orientation of the retainer 2 times but it just didn't fit. So i replaced the retainer ball bearing with loose balls and that did the trick. Greased everything et voilà.

I also attached all cables today and set up both brakes. I had a matching pair of Shimano brake cable hangers but with the rear one the brake cable kept slipping no matter what i did to it so i had to replace that it with a different and working one.
