Saracen 1991 Trekker Competition Hydrotech

Thanks, I wish I'd managed to get the paint completely off without damage but it was really tough. I know to get the rest off would leave more original paint missing.

I'm looking forward to that first ride too :) Just a shame she won't be a keeper but needs must and I know someone will love this.

I'd love to have it if it wasn't for the time of year as this month alone has 4 family birthdays and 1 anniversary in it just leaving another 30 to cater for  ..

Ready apart from chain and gear cables. Off for a ride so these will have to wait. Final build install tomorrow then time for some riding ;)

It looks tons better without those stupid decals although i would be tempted to get some replacement Saracen decals for it but that would be my limit if it were mine other than i'd be tempted to repaint the headstem as that green looks odd unless the original decals were green in which case i'd keep it as it is but any how that is starting to look really smart and i can't wait to see the completed look ;) ..

Problem is they are both in original paint and I couldn't bring myself to have them re painted.

Definitely going to consider getting hold of the decals.

Finish this off tomorrow morning then first ride :)

I can't seem to find another trekker like yours out on the web but this gives an idea of how the colour scheme may of been layed out and maybe the original forks were the same colour as the headstem ..

And then their are these lovelies from a few year ago although beit their mainly kili flyer's but you get the idea ;) .

As soon as i saw it i started to wonder whether yours is what you thought it was :| ..

Re:

Well mate those forks from what i've seen so far normally put on the conquest or conquest Elite according to the catalogue and speaking of which have a look on here about three quarters down mate ,

As proven so far mate their has been no signs of a Trekker with quad tubing so my thinking is that this frameset you've got is possibly the wrong colour a long with the headstem which is more than likely either repainted or off another Saracen lol  ..

I guess it's just pretty rare now ;)

Drystonepaul has a project one, no forks though I believe.

Thanks for putting me right Minifreak although reading those details on the catalogue was hard going for me to read but that pic was excellent and now i'm feeling very humbled as i couldn't find info on the Trekker any where on the net but that pic alone gives me the answers i was after so thanks again ;) ..
