S-WORKS M2 93 FRAME QUERY??

I think the early M2's had 26.8, like the steel frames. Later steel ones have 30.4 and later M2's have 30.9 mm.

Its a 93 frame according to the serial number. And it is a 1" stem.

Sériously slecialized use 30.9 seatpost. Will most other use 30.8. I remenber when i haved i M2 team 1995.

It's an early nineties frame sized for a 1" headset (probably JIS), with a 31.8mm seat tube. The oversized M2 frames (34.9mm seat tube, 30.9mm seatpost) didn't arrive until the mid nineties.

Your '94 steel Stumpy is a '95.

If it's a 93, your frame is not a S-Works Stumpjumper - as per your link, only the steel framed Stumpjumper was S-works in that year. I think the decals on your frame are possibly off a 93 S-Works FSR?

Anyway, I'm guessing what you have is either an M2 or M2 FS, and the correct decals should look more like this:

Can't help much re: the seatpost size, but still a lovely frame.

Yes mines the same 26.8 seat tube and 31.8 for the FD. What groupset you running? Any pictures anybody of their M2's?
