Yes but I moved out of the area a couple of years ago and dont hear much about it in brum . When I was a young boy 3-4 years old used to live right under the the landing run for scampton. They used to come in so low if you stood on the roof you almost could have run your hands along them. One of my mates house was one of the ones that the red arrows crashed into in welton :shock: .

When we were kids we'd pray that the traffic lights on the A15 were red, which as you know meant the runway was in use. I never forget the sheer awe of the Vulcans taking off. Those delta wings glimmering in the sunlight. I also remember that they were for sale for £2,000 in the 80's to anyone who wanted one, someone local to me (Holbeach) bought one and converted it into a home.

OK, frame stripping, decided to take the plunge and buy an assortment of nasty looking oven cleaners. Worst case scenario is that I can sell it to the man who lives in a Vulcan to match his house.
