Is it carbon?
Is it aluminium?
Nope! It's both!
It's a Peugeot, and looks broadly similar to the "Team line" frames from 1994/95, which use aluminium tubes bonded into carbon lugs. Interesting...
It differs in that it has a regular split seat tube and clamp arrangement rather than the internal clamp system, and the mech hanger is non-replaceable. So maybe a lower budget version, or an earlier version.
It came with most of an STX-RC groupset, and the chromed Rigid forks (threaded forks with an Ahead set and Ahead stem fitted, so who knows what's original!).
A quick polish of the downtube seemed to yield good results, so I'm hopeful that with some work the frame can be made to look half decent...
