Sold Like Alan Record Carbonio (Donnay/Carbon Valley?) 1980s in London £275

Identical to an Alan Record Carbonio except not actually an Alan because the Alan name is not marked on the top of the seat stay lug and on the forks. It is the same frame made by the same Italian manufacturer, just without the Alan badge. I understand they also made the same frame for Carbon Valley and Donnay so I assume it will be one of those. With an internally routed rear brake cable I am guessing late 1980s.

Measures 52cm from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat post tube. Aluminium alloy forks,14 speed with indexed shimano shifters.

Cranks are Sugino XD2. Wheels are French, Mach 1 rear and Wolber front. Derailleurs are Shimano 105 front and Suntour Vx rear. Sakae Custom Road Champion handlebars, Shimano brake levers

There is a small vertical hairline crack in the middle at the back of the lug at the top of the seat post tube (see last photo). The seat post size is an unusual 25mm and my guess is that at some point someone has tried to cram in a 25.4 post. However the seatpost pinch bolt effectively holds it together and the crack cannot spread anywhere from where it is. Therefore in my view it is not a significant problem.

All checked, working well and ready to ride away.

Pick up from NW3, near Camden, between Chalk Farm and Swiss Cottage
