I put the wheels from another bike on to give me an idea of how it is going to look finished. also easier to work on a bike with wheels!!

Tape choice was between pelan blue to white fade or cork silva cork ribbon. I like the look of it. To me it is very similar to the bar tape used in some of the early magazine adverts for Shimano Sti - Davis Phinny in his Coors Light kit standing on the pedals of his bike in a studio.
cinelli cork looked too thick - if this didn't work out I would have put white ambrosio tape on it.
