i'm feeling better now, the movie has been deleted from my brainspace! 
sorry for the late night rant, most of my customers are good as gold, just a few numpties (like any job i suppose!), and we just don't let the pikey/chav tw*ts in! we have a baseball bat called the "paingiver"!
there's always friend or good customer deals though but if we are treated badly it won't be offered and we have discount cards for loyal customers, 10% off off the shelf items, not including bikes sales or workshop. we think thats fair enough. we try to look after people, they'll come back then.
some shops are tossy though, i know a shop who inflates the rrp of certain shimano products on items that aren't as popular now then offers an artificial discount so you think you get a deal but he is still charging more than retail! that's just rude.
