Picked up the frame at some point last year, bought a few parts here and there and started the build. Was a rolling chassis for some time, but managed to get it to a ride able state yesterday. Ride with the family today, a bit more fettling and she's almost finished/finalised.

Going to fit a reverb, maybe a hope bash guard and will get some new grips as used a set I had laying around but not very comfy.

Brakes have been a pain. Had a leak, changed the hose, haven't managed to get a perfect bleed. Front is now decent after 3 attempts, rear still a bit spongy. Learning to ignore the manufacturers bleed procedure as get a better bleed doing it my own way. Could do with some new pads as rear brake squeals pretty badly.

Other than that seems tidy.

Swapped pedals out to flats as riding mallets for over an hour isn't good for your feet I've found.

I keep looking at the on-one 29 Ti frames, they look good. I've been looking for a fair priced Ti 29er frame for a while, they look really good. Nice bike.

Re:

I picked this up as a frame as I like the ride of my ti 26er. At the time I had (still do) a carbon 29er which i really enjoyed riding so my plan was to transplant everything over. Ended up only pinching the cranks, bar and saddle.

The only complaints I have about this no-one frame are:

Cable mounts under the downtube catch the fork dials, even with an external headset cup. No biggie in use but if crashed could result in frame/fork damage.

Only mech side drop out is replaceable. Again no real issue but would have been a nice option.

Re:

Hmmmmmmmm......tasty ti .... om nom...

Re bleeding, I think you are right. I ignore the instructions and do what I always did with various high performance cars - bleed from the master cylinder. I think you can just about bleed upwards from the caliper but I have got MUCH better results bleeding from the lever. I attach a jam jar to the chainstay, and then have one hand on the bars and one hand on the spanner on the caliper nipple. Open nipple, pull lever but keep in, close nipple, release lever, repeat. I think that way you do drive all the air out of the system.

Meanwhile , friend Yves in Switzerland, who also has high performance car experience, says ‘bleed from the caliper with a great big syringe’.

I think both are fine but need lots of patience and commitment.....

Re:

Some minor tweaks. An e-thirteen bash guard as I didn't like seeing the exposed edges of the carbon spider. And a stealth Maxle.

I thought the e-thirteen bash ring would look a bit fugly but I think I was wrong.

Just need to either find some blanking plugs to fill the dropper routing holes or fit the reverb.

Ridden this a few times now and really liking it.

Might be thinking a 36t front ring is better than the 34t so may get a new ring, though clearance looks a little tight when I look at it now with the 34t fitted. Would need to switch to the hope bash ring I have I expect.
