My New Sbike - updated 7/11/10

Whoa! That's nothing like the serials I've seen so far.
My own (1990) 503 is SM3030 and my (1992) 729 is 05421.

EDIT : After cleaning the BB some more numbers were revealed. It's SM3030133

The first part of the number (980502) sounds like a date, but it certainly isn't one because Swatch killed off the Sbike brand in march 93.

I'm thinking yours is either a 506 or an 808. does a magnet stick to it? If so it's a steel frame and therefore most likely a 506, which would make it a 1993 bike. If not, it's an aluminium 808 which would make it either a 1992 or 1993 bike.

Methinks it's a 1993 either way, but at this point I'm merely making a calculated guess.

the Fork is a Halson PDS Inversion fork, the next version on from their black ones, i have 2 of these, both imported from the US,

Nice, look like a STM fork.
