V-nice. Looks like it has been well looked after as well

how do you pronounce Xizang?? :)

long story cut short. my mate Al wanted 1. we did a east coast canada road trip in 98 (also mt. st.anne world champs) & asked for a Xizang 2nd hand or whatever in every bikeshop we went in (& we went in a lot!).
1 shop reckoned it should be pronounced sh-zang, another ying-yang, another zi-ang... to this day I dont know if any of them were serious or taking the mick :D  I;ve always heard it called zi-ang.

aha... thanks. i can well believe it depends who you ask

i had heard it pronounced zi-jang, i travelled through China last year and everwhere begining with a X- is pronounced Sh- so i wondered if it had a cool Mandarin/Cantonese meaning maybe?

I guess it doesnt really matter... just say tasty titanium GT and everyone will know :D

blimey.... just typed it into Wikipedia, its a Chinese name for Tibet apparently, and centre of the Buddhist world.

(heading wildly off topic...sorry)

Lovely bike!!
100% my style ;)
Simple, clean and sturdy
a friend of mine still has one, he actually rode it to Tibet in 1999 :!:
He build it bullet proof (13kg Titanium bike!!) and it never failed him.
Maybe find some pics later....
