MY COLLECTION OF OLD BIKES (more bikes now added)

Re: MY COLLECTION OF OLD BIKES

Hi Chris,

Fantastic collection - tbh, didn't expect anything less of you ;)

Although Colnago is my bike, if you ever chose to throw one away - preferably in my direction - could you make it the PDM Concorde Squadra? :)

Until you do, I'll just ogle your collection to keep the downers at bay

Re: MY COLLECTION OF OLD BIKES

Fantastic!

Especially:

Colnago Master Low Pro

Battaglin Low Pro

Re: MY COLLECTION OF OLD BIKES

They're all magnificent but I especially like the Superconfex.

Also really enjoyed the Battaglin Low Pro (Major league nostalgia for an Irish cyclist of that era)
I hadn't realised you could fit a manufacturers name onto a frame in so many places! :)

Actually...
That Raleigh Low Pro with Tri-Colour group is also is also quite lovely.
Wonderful patinaed paint.

Re:

I think the same about the colours, I thought it was just me turning into a Grumpy Old Man complaining that everything (well, almost everything) seems to black these days!

If I say the TI Raleigh and the Merck Molteni strike a big chord, I suppose I'm dating myself!

Super collection, thanks for sharing!

Ok i've just added another 3 or 4 bike But thats it for now :)
The Colnago Master Buckler I have is almost finished but I'm still trying to get hold of a decent pair of SunTour Superbe Pro Brake Levers & Hoods & a pair of TTT Forma SL Bars without the middle part faded or scratched.
When I have those two parts I will put photos of that one on line as well.
I've also got a Vitus 979 Frame early version MK1 (It could be the Peugeot one) but I'm still undecided which groupset to put on it
Also An early ALAN Alloy Frame as well, Again I'm still undecided which groupset to put on it.
Also a Bianchi Low Pro that has the wrong forks fitted (700c ) where as they should be 650c I've been looking for a pair of 650c ones for close on 2 years now
The rest of the C-Record group set for the Bianchi Low Pro I have including a pair of Shamal wheels 700 & 650c .

Re:

Yeah I know what you mean, I think I need to get a life...

Oh, I don't know, seems like you're doing fine to me...

After all, you can ride any bike you like and the others won't complain...
You you don't have to ride any of them and still no complaint...
You could ride your mates bikes and nobody will compain...
You could let your mates ride your bikes and it won't be a problem either...
You can stay out late and they won't get pissed off...
You can go on holidays and leave them and there won't be aggravation when you get home...
You can treat them to new parts and they'll be glad to get them...
You can used old parts and they'll be glad to get them too...
You can watch TV all evening with them in the room...
You can watch TV all evening with them in another room...

So help me out here, exactly what kind of life do you need to get...! ;)

thanks chris, it is indeed an awesome collection ! i just wondered if you had any favourites handling wise ?
