nice - i, or rather my Ex had one identical new (it had canti's though)

as far as I can tell the MF frame genesis went (post S+G cycles)

seat stays with paw prints (1st gen jam-jar couriers, etc)

seat stays without paws, with u-brake (early fade paint)

wishbone stays, ubrake (as above crackle paint)

wishbone stays and canti's (crackle and flouro paint, colour paw decals on top tube)

between 87/8 and 89/90 this may tie in with manufacture going from japan (all), then assembly of japanese frame in taiwan, to all taiwan)

I think they came with suntour 'xpress shifters (which didn't) and i found the stem always too long, which killed the handling compared to 'my' courier

That would be 1990 then, just stripped mine and put the parts on the '89 Courier Comp frame I have, much nicer ride.
