Testing the water here, no idea of value as I've not seen another restored example for sale anywhere.
It's a 86/87 Explorer. I had the frame prof powdercoated at windridge coatings. It has it's original suntour thumbies and both suntour mechs, a nos Stronglite double chainset same as origional. It has original ITM stem and bars. The seatpost and tyres (schwalbe marathons) are new non origional.
It's currently fitted with modern wheels (deore/mavic x222 rear...lx/rigida zac front) modern brakes (some posh U brake at rear and avid SL v's front) and corresponding modern levers. However, I have the original wheels (exage mountain/weimann) and brakes suntour rollarcam and shimano canti's and dia comp levers. I could refit all the original wheels etc if that would increase value or leave it as it is..I don't know what would be best?
needless to say it has new cables, chain and a set of Gil_m's finest decals
It has a new tange headset and Vetta lite gel saddle
I've done about 50 road miles on it since it was finished last summer

Since those pics were taken it's had a smarter vetta seat and the origional itm bars fitted.
