Here's some pics of the Escort, they are pretty crap but hopefully you'se can make them out :)

It's a beast

Huge front tunnel

Rear diff tunnel is equally huge, spent some of today scrubbing this and painting it with Kurust, will all be done white to match the eventual external colour.

Engine bay is...er....HUGE.....could probably get a 5.0 V8 in there.

Came with these cool Morrette twin headlights but i've since found out they are off an Escort Cosworth and are not going to fit without a major ballache, not so cool after all.

Decided they are pretty ugly anyway and the standard headlights will be better.

I remember when you could 4 minters for that price

I passed up a mint RS1600i for £1200 only three years ago, you'd get a shell and a pile of boxes for that now

Getting all the MK4 bits for the Gartrac i need thisafternoon,
guy i work with has broke two RS Turbos, actually needing quite
a bit, tailgate, all glass, wipermotor/linkage/arms, lock set, dash,
door mirrors a ton of other wee bits and bobs, also decided to get
the complete doors off him as the ones on the car are shells, car
will have functioning drop glass in the doors, perspex would be
great but really not practical on a road car.

Finaly got a better camera so will post some that dont look like they have been taken through a bog window :)

Tales from the workshop...

Alfa is edging closer to getting painted- the booth is free over the weekend so its time to lay on some paint. Most parts are sourced and ready to go on once its red again.

Interceptor update. Found a replacement 727 Torqueflite box, now just have to summon the courage to swap them over. Next week hopefully. Will run it down to the MOT station once its in. Usual £20 left poking out of the ashtray and a wink should see it through again.

In the meantime, small matter of doing a suspension set up on a big Healy 3000 rally car today. Geometry is all over the place. Its going to be a long day. Sounds bloody nice though so looking forward to an extended test drive this evening. Might even run it out to the pub and back.
Ding Dong!

Healy looks stunning Si, colour makes a change from the usuall
red

Speaking of colour, changed my mind about the scheme for the
Escort (still miles away from getting it painted though), was going
to do it white with the blue Motorsport stripes round the back but
a neighbour told me a horror storry about a red car he got painted
white, the red bled through and turned the car pink, even with a barr
coat over the red  , dont fancy stripping it back to bare
metal so it's going to be red and yellow now, with white mirrors,
bumpers and rear spoiler.

Wheels will be white 9x13 Revolution four spokes
(235/45/13 tyres), motor will be a 2.0 Vauxhall XE on twin 45's.

Have'nt done a great deal to it since i got it
(waiting on the sale of the Capri for some cash to buy bits),
made up alloy blanking plates for the dash, spent the rest of
the time digging old cracked filler out the rear 1/4's.
