Can’t rush art

Full picture soon!
I have to put the Columbus decal on yet and let the phone charge up before I can take a photo just yet.
I'm just staring at it while it sits on the other sofa

I bet there was time when it was the wife you looked at liked that....
Trick is not to get caught staring whilst day dreaming otherwise you’ll be spending the night on the sofa

It's a good job she's gone to bed then

Anyhow some more pic's looking lovely me thinks :D

While this has been away I've been doing a bit of polishing in readiness for the anodisers, but it seems that they are unable to do bright anodising due to a uk ban on the chemicals that are used which to say the least is a PITA so I've decided to lacquer them instead more pictures of those later

Absolutely gorgeous.

Looks like Neil has done a fantastic job... I dare not even think about how much it cost he's not known for being at the budget end of the market.

Can the anodisers do milky/clear finishes?

My local one can't and the others are some what sketchy on the details. I think the lacquer will be the better option as it will be easier to redo it.

I decided to lacquer the parts in the end and after reassembly at the weekend had a bit of spare time to mock up the front end today. I bought a Precisa fork for it and wanted to see how they looked compared to the originals.

Bellissima!!!

Can't wait to see it up close.

Couldn't help but notice the stuff in the background... I'll give you £20 quid if you wear that Guru aero helmet up (and down) Great Dun Fell.

That’s a lovely job. The problem now is that you’ve set your personal bar high - the days of you spending low 100s have gone lol. It’s a slippery slope
