I'm in the process of cleaning up a pretty nice 1995 Proflex. Some prior owner had installed a hydraulic rear shock and I'd like to return it to the original elastomer shock. I have sourced new elastomers but cannot find the shock body itself (short of buying a a full bike off Ebay).
I was Binging the web and came across Retrobike. I realize you're in the UK and I'm in the US but I could stand the shipping if it was not too painful. Or, if you could direct me to a site where I might find one that would be great. Thanks in advance..
Also, I volunteer at a non-profit where we take donated bikes, repair them as needed, and they then get donated out to other charities for their clients. We will occasionally get some interesting older bikes, such as the Proflex, that are not practical to rebuild for our clients. I just loved the Proflex so it is a special project. But we might get things someone here is interested in.
