Have been after one of these for years, then one literally pops up on the doorstep!

Kona A'ha 1997

As it sits at the moment, still a few parts to go, and need to decide what to do with the cranks. They look cool, but after coming across a few other builds I'm tempted to convert the bb to euro and run different cranks

Welcome to the club 👍 Is that a 16 or 17"?
Cheers buddy. I think I might have messaged you on Instagram about the bb? I'm taking inspiration from your build.

It actually measures 16.5 c to top, so I presume 16? I thought they only came in 16, 18 or 20 but I could be wrong

Ah, there we go, connection made. Indeed, that's the sizing they quoted. I have the 18" and yours is defo smaller than that.

Headset arrived and fitted. Stack height is higher than whatever was on before so now I'm in need of a shorter stack stem!

USA to euro adapter has arrived for the bottom bracket too, but I can't feel my hands as it's flipping freezing! So I'll come back and fit that another time!

Looks great, how much height are you left with? 35mm is a pretty common height so hopefully you can turn up something that will suit it.

Yeah around 30, but 32 or 35 should be OK. I've seen dmr and spank do shorter height stems but unsure how the shorter stem length would look.

Cool bike. I agree about the cranks, the red and blue rings are okay, but to me, the arms are way too heavy looking. Can't wait to see where you take this
