Brocklanders023 thanks. I haven't a clue how to decipher oranges serial numbers?
It would be great if it was a 97. Once i have a date i can source the period correct parts for it
Can't believe how light weightthe frame and forks are.
I used to have a 93 p7 which weighed quite a bit more lol. .

How did a clockwork of the same age (97/9:cool: compare to a p7?
The quality and weight of the frames?
What was the price of a 97/98 clockwork?
My 93 p7 was great but the pace rc36 evos had gone completely floppy. I couldnt seem to find rigid 1" forks for it, at least not what i could afford so i got fed up and let it go.

Re:

Won’t be too much difference weight wise, the p7 is probably a touch more supple though. As for the serial number I was going by the original Orange way of year(7) followed by month. The colour backs it up as every 97 I have seen has been blue or green.

I cant find any brochures etc from 97 with clockworks in them? Wierd that theserial number suggests 97 but it seems they didnt stop the c16 and change bqckto clockwork until 98?
