It was a dream, now it's a project… Merlin 92

Very nice indeed :D

How strange, mine had an identical seatpost in, but just sold it. (not keen on shims)

Are you staying with the rigid forks or going for suspension?

Steel rigid fork only…
Actually, the shop who has sold me that frame has offered me the ritchey fork (from an old C'dale I think). I would find a Steve Potts fork or an old swiss "Ferraroli". Steel is good with titanium frame. It's the same spirit.
(In France this frame was sold with a Pace-elastomer)

I think that the girvin would be the better suspension for this bike !
But, I've got an old Merlin bar too. But I have to do another decal for it…

Love te idea of the steel forks and ti flexstem mate...it's gonna be a cracking build!

Taste police says that flex-stem is way too long for that frame. Is it 150mm?

Cooks = Way too pimpy.

USE seatpost - sure but dump the purple fittings.

Sorry.

This frame could be so so tasty. Understated and in proportion is the key.

I agree : good proportion and geometry are the key : the picture shown is only a "sketch" for looking the geometry and I'm going to take time for building.
For the stem, it's a 130mm. I will receive a 110mm from Vitorzip. On other hand, I'm thinking about a steel stem with a merlin Bar...

It's a small size but not so sloping for a 15"

;)

build it w/ xtr m900 incl. it's seatpost. ritchey logic fork. ritchey stem and merlin bars.
that's how it would be built then. that's the best possible parts from a mechanical efficiency viewpoint.
