I’m not sure why but I’ve not posted on here for ages and ages.
I did stop riding for some time but few years ago bought a new Pace RC127 (at the time) and loved mountain bikes again.
Anyway apart from a cheap first bike for my lad (Kona Mini Mula) not really been bothered about a retro whip.
When I say not bothered... eBay searches, conversations with an old riding buddy... you know the drill.
My first decent bike, which does my previous rides a disservice...
A yellow Zaskar. Loved it, owned it for about 8yrs or maybe more. Sold it after putting some crap shocks on it and destroyed the ride. Anyway fast forward a few decades. A similar frame pops up on evilbay, bought it and building it.
Isn’t going to be a full retro build. Don’t think I’ve seen the SRAM woody mechs for sale in 20+ years, so simple build for now and we’ll see.
Has anyone still got any of my old whips on here? The Merlin, Rc300, Litespeed to name a few

Quick update
New post on its way, some V brake boosters and a set of new skewers... think that’s about it for now. Does need some better wheels so on the look. Don’t grief the seat, it’s so her in doors will use it.
Might source some Wildslippers ;)
Oh after a red ano seat clamp if anyone has a nice one (Hope?)

Re:

I’ve got a nice pair of x517 rims on XT M750 hubs for sale which would suit it. £80 inc UK post.

Re:

I had a red ano zaskar for a bit. Easy to get it really light even with basic kit. Especially when single speed. I like yours a lot

Re:

Cheers bud.
Found some sexy ano red Judy races, not to sure but ok for now. Loving the brake boosters although the silver facing plates look a bit tacky. Ideas? Think a lite did something BITD

Re:

I've run brake boosters but to be honest, never noticed much performance increase with them.

Separate question how is the AKA next to it? They look really good geometry wise.

Re:

They’re purely atheistic aren’t they. Think they did a bit for canti’s but nothing for V’s.
The AKA is awesome. Does everything really well. Running mine with 150mm and it hammers downhill and is very well behaved up.
