Introducing my Carlton Corsa and Super Course

Hi all,
Thanks to a friendly moderator this is now in the right forum.

Here they are, my Carlton Corsa and Super Course, just emerging from the shed in need of their spring clean but this is them warts and all. Pink is the Super Course if you were in doubt. The Corsa is a 19 1/2 inch frame and I have had it since I was 12 or 13. Annoyingly when it went to the cycle shop to be rebuilt it didn't get much recognition of keeping it true to its original build. The chainset is going to be replaced for a Strong light one. I still like the platform pedals but only because when 13 I was riding it about 200 miles a week in school type shoes and quill pedals would break the shoes hence the swap. Still ride in my normal shoes but the soles are a bit stronger. That's why the clips on the Super Course have inch extensions to accommodate my shoes. Tried without them and the ball of my foot was behind the spindle. I know the pink is the wrong colour but I have grown accustomed to it. Now you know that I should never be used as a barometer as I have my own views and they are definitely not mainstream. I have put a Stronglight chainset on the Corsa 52/42 so not as hill friendly as I might have liked. However it does look prettier than the black one it wore before. Anybody know how to clean Cinelli cork bar tape? The dirt seems to get pushed into it. DSC_0037.JPG DSC_0033.JPG
