Why hasn't one ever driven past me then?

yeah, all i ever see are incredibly bad mystery machine copies

They would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky Retrobikers. ;)

The Herbie films don't hold any appeal for me; if you want a memorable 60s movie with cult small cars in it then I'm of the opinion that there's only one film that fits the bill. Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea....

I have two copies on DVD. Tend to watch it on days like these....

When I was a kid there was a very good Herbie replica near where I lived.

Rather more bizarrely there was a Hillman Avenger replica of the car from Starsky And Hutch.

And even stranger than that a Mini Clubman painted as an exact (paint wise) copy of the General Lee from Dukes Of Hazard.

On the way home from work the other day I was passed by a Ford Cortina GXL, sadly in a none more 70s mustard colour rather than the metallic brown of Gene Hunt's motor!

Nice! My mates dad had a metallic purple Mk3, I was hugely jealous as we only had a plain white Mk2 Escort.

My old man was a DI on the Mids Regional Crime Squad and had one of these in white with a black vinyl roof LAY 726P MK3 2000E I remember him buying it new. The smell of the black vinyl seats and the green dash lights very very cool.
