HELP!!! Getting a brake cable through a stem internally....

Edit: Pretty sure the forks are these off a Saracen Kili....the green ones...almost weightless and massively long steerer!

Erm.....

Well, I went out full of hope but nothing was working, so in a hissy fit I decided to go and get another cable hanger or stem or SOMETHING from my local bike recycling place that I hadn't actually been to for ages as I had moved well out of the area until recently....

And came back with a saddle, a blue chainring in the right BCD, a set of amazing rigid forks, yet to be ID'ed, and a little Rock Hopper frame....

And no brake hanger. So I've just refitted the original and be done with it. Brake works which is all I need it to do!

Thanks though for all the suggestions, in time I may tinker with it again when I've more patience.

Ooooooh Where is this place? Sounds like my kinda shopping trip :facepalm:
