Iam new to roadbikes as my friend is a keen roadie and watched him build many bikes that look amazing when finished i thought i should give it a go. I have done restoration work on bikes before but mostly ones with engines haha, i have on the good advice of my friend purchased a complete bike which i think was a good purchase, FW Evans frame in white 531c tubing, full shimano 600 groupset in very good condition, all the components are good just need tidying up and servicing, i would REALLY like to know what year the bike is hoping for some advice thanks in advance.

Hi Welcome. 531c came in the very early eighties,the Shimano stuff may well be date coded as well. Pics can also be helpful

Thanks fella just been looking and the model of the groupset dates from 84-87 but that's as close as I can get it.

Have a look at the links above, the shimano stuff should have a date stamp on it.......
