Okay thanks for the update, with MB and the IOM link I thought it may have been an ex Raleigh pro riders training/spare bike but now we can focus on the initials MD. You mentioned Mike Doyle from the isle who raced in the late 70's & early 80's and later had a bike shop in Onchan and that a friend aquired it some years ago so how did he come to own it would be the next port of call... interesting
