Yakota used lots of noodles, but the top of the seat tube doesn't look right for that.

S/N reads like 1990 Hodaka built to me. is there a list of companies that used Hodaka in 1990? might help narrow it down to a few dozen.

Any chance you have a link to the companies/brands?

If so I could narrow it down from an image search

many bike brands used the bike factories in Hodaka to produce their bikes, Scott, Kona, GT, Bontrager, Breezer amongst them. It's just hard to know what years, what models if not even the exact series had been produced there. Not sure if there will be a comprehensive list.

In general I do agree, the SN looks like Hodaka and 1990.

Maybe it's easier to just check the a bit smaller MTB protfolio of any brand for 1990 for the ones with similar noodles and pulley.

Looks like a Shogun Prairie Breaker to me too, perhaps a 91 model year if it has canti bosses...? Tange Prestige.
