Dream Hardtail List?

Hi, I've just stumbled on the site and thought I'd join up and say summat...

Been big into hardtails since the early nineties and have had my fair share of bikes. I always had a list of dream bikes to own/ride and now it seems I'm coming to the end of that list, and I'm looking for inspiration for my next steed..

So far I've had:

Orange P7
GT Zaskar LE
Fat Chance Yo Eddy Team w/ AMP forks
GT Psyclone
Cannondale F1000 w/ Ti Lefty
Klein Adept Race (yes I know, FS was a phase I went thru..)
Mountain Cycles San Andreas (same again, dunno why..)
Pace RC200
'97 Klein Adroit (my current, pics are in my user album)

I'm looking to own another ultralight Hardtail next, but I'm not sure what to go for.

My thoughts are:

Fuquay Max
Merlin
Airborne Lancaster or their Alu one
Salsa Moto Rapido

Does anyone have any other suggestions for ultralight dream HTs I might not be aware of?

Hardtails

Welcome to the site dude :D Off the top of my head and seeing as though i'm not big into Aluminininum frames i would have to go for an all steel selection: a 953 IF, a Groovy and a Soulcraft Opt 3. Not neccesarily in that order and not sure how ultra lightweight they are but they definitely float my boat

Vicious Cycles, Indie Fab', Soulcraft, Dekerf, Groovy would all be on my wish list. Fully Figid of course & with rim Brakes. In fact I'm thinking of going down this route sometime in the future

Welcome to the site BTW :)

Welcome.

Fuquay MAX...good luck. Greg didn't make many with that tubeset. None on Ebay in 12 months.

The world is your oyster.

80's, 90's, 00's?
You've got almost every material covered in that selection of 4 bikes.

Lots of sources of bike porn on here for you to consider for current stuff:

Of all the bikes I've ridden and owned, the one I'd recommend over all others is the Roberts D.O.G.S.B.O.L.X

I don't regret selling mine.........................................okay I do

For me it has to be Titanium. It has the benefits of both steel and Ali, yet will give you a life long bike. My suggestions? Merlin, Litespeed, and best of all Kona......which I have just bought...... :D

Fisher Competition - '87 model with Tange Prestige frame and full 6-speed XT, including U-brake. It's my Holy Grail.
