I don't have the space or the parts to keep both unfortunately. I'm learning towards the Trek but it could go either way. I also have no forks for the Marin and the long head tube is making it difficult to source some that are suitable.
Reckon you answered your own question there mate

*people in dark cloaked hoods appear from the woods, chanting*

Trek! Trek! Trek!

Ive gone for trek.
Its a one colour powder job. As much as i want the marin to be built and ridden, those 1992 colour jobs are never the same again once stripped off. No matter how you go about it.

Yeah trek.

Having the forks with the frame makes life much easier. The Trek frame will look good in single colour powder coat, as marc two tone says. I guess the wheels (135mm rear hub spacing?) and other parts will fit either frame so...

Trek for me too

Even if the Marin had the forks I'd go for the Trek. Without the forks it's a no brainer.

I wondered about that but the steerer is an inch too short and they're 1", the Marin is 1 1/8".

That's true but the stays have some pretty bad fading from the sun. They're almost Orange now.
Thought you were pounder coating it?

It's give it a modern look and the some Marin decals.

Mazda soul red for instance and black graphics.
