Dave Yates Vulcan -Elevated Chainstays - Whats it worth?

Re:

Hi there,

Lovely bit of kit you have there. Thats only the 3rd one I've seen and what a great story behind it.

Below is a link to my Vulcan that I have just recently finished rebuilding.

Don't sell it, they're far to rare to let go....

i'm in if it's for sale! however this is a valuation thread, so whats it worth?? to me?? at a rough value £666 of my finest english pounds.......possibly i'd pay £777 but beyond that it's just too much!! Value is what someones willing to pay but I'm sure if you do decide to sell you'll get a very nice price...Beautifle rare and my size too, mmmmmmmmm

Re:

Very rare and very tidy. I'm no expert but will offer an opinion on the value. If it was 18"-ish and stuck it on ebay I think it would hit around £1000. Problem is it's huge so the market is limited. I'd say DrJo's top end is about right.

I stand to be corrected though.

Re:

Yep

Still about. Correct about being ideal for 6'3" lanky figure - perfect description of me :).

Been busy of late and keeping an eye out for a pair of pace sus forks to soften up the front end. Finding some with a 1" steerer I think means looking much harder as they seem I be like hens teeth !!
