exactly. I have a 12 year old car, currently on 200k miles. I will run it into the ground and then buy another 10 year old car for £800. I will NEVER buy a new car. EVER. Pointless if they're trying to aim the scheme at me.

buckets seem to be getting made more brittle :x

im perfectly happy with my 69 escort van , its been through the worthless value stage of its life . tax exempt too . just a shame 60s/70s metal was crappy but at least there isnt any electrickery to stop working , if i want a window open i use the winder , to steer i just put more effort in

i didnt know you could buy 2nd hand hyundais , whos buying them ? nobody thats who :LOL:
 
One good thing has come out of this scrapage scheme if the pistonheads article is accurate:

..its a start (speaking as an ex MGF owner)
