Re: putting threading on an Ahead fork. I'd avoid that too. Why don't you use an Ahead stem?

well actually purely for period correctness :D
the fork has a 1" steel steerer that i'd have to cut anyways. so i thought, maybe cut it a little lower and get it thraded so the frame will have the correct fork and headset.

Sorry Retrofans - Here is a question to the community

Which kind of TIME forks looks more authentic at my SAECO Cannondale CAD3 - Intent to build it up with
Coda/Ambrosio Durex or Coda/FIR Pulsar wheels - alternatively I have a pair of Spinergy Rex-x

"Stiletto" ( I don't know from which year!) or "straight" (was with the frame set at purchase)
here from left

and now from the right

I'd go for the straight one! to me the stiletto looks a bit too ... muscular?
but that's just personal opinion.

Re:

here's a little mockup with my straight fork including wheels.
i really like the very slim and straight look.

here that's mine SAECO Cannondale - has been finalized at the moment with the straight fork ... sorry but yellow Michelin tires are a temporary solution only ... and I am thinking about a "no-slipstream Selle San Marco saddle" too.
