I picked up a lovely Joe Waugh recently, It’s all old skool Campag 8 speed. I need to fit a triple chainset as the current gearing is way too much for my old legs.
Question is, will a pre 2000 9 speed Veloce rear derailleur work with 8 speed Chorus shifters on an 8 speed cassette? I have a long cage Veloce 9 speed rear mech in my box of stuff and a triple chainset - but should I be looking at a long cage 8 speed too? (They look rather expensive).
Any help would be great.
