Bontrager Privateer S frame for sale. (not OR as the sticker says)
1998 I think
Its one of the Trek made frames so you can either see it as not a “real” Bontrager or you can revel in the fact that you have the great geometry and have a 1 1/8 headset meaning can choose from many forks.
I think it was the last year they were made as well.
Its also been converted to take a disc brake at the back by Chas Roberts.
And the seat stays have been tidied up to remove the brake studs.
I can even include the original Judy forks (which are still the original colour, but were upgraded to England Air cartridges many years ago) if you would like.
No idea on the working condition of the forks but they would make it a very authentic build.
There are a fair few bits of surface corrosion but if the frame was resprayed they would disappear.
There is a very little dent from an old stone hit on the down tube but its not grown since it happened.
