Hey I would like to show you my recently finished Bontrager Race Lite OR with Bontrager Race stem and Bontrager titanium handlebars.
I have only ridden it here in the garage so far but it handles so nicely. I am looking forward for some good wather and the first ride in the mountains.

Well done: that looks like an amazing bike.!
Do think it deserves another saddle-seatpost combo though..

Looking forward to a ride report :)!

Yeah, but good luck getting an affordable Composite.

I think, considering the money and the trouble sourcing one, the Ritchey fork is a fine replacement for the time being.

That said, a sprinkling of a few more Ritchey components on the build would help offset it's fish-out-of-waterness. Seatpost, for example! And grips!

And I agree, a more era appropriate saddle would be a nice touch, too.

And here's this, for that seatpost cluster cable arrangement: BrakeHousingabdCableSetup_zps1312ea27.jpg

Cool bike tho! Good work!

Someone educate me. What's wrong with a Ritchey fork on a Bontrager? Looks to me like it fits the geometry well.

Nothing at all, its just that the classic look is a straight blade composite fork - so something like a P2 might suit it better.

However, I think the contrast of black forks and finishing kit with the red frame works really well on this bike, and it will still be a great ride.

Not wishing to be the bearer of bad news - but that looks like a Race OR not a Race Lite - the main distinguishing mark is that the Race Lite has a milled head tube that is thicker at the top and bottom.

Also, the top decal is on back to front - which is not uncommon, just ask @Elfman !

finally - what front cable hanger are you using? - I could do with a new one for my bonty

Oh, and bontrager frames came with a little piece of inner tube over the top of the seat tube to stop dirt getting in the slit. That would be a good finishing touch

I didn't want to be the one to point it out, but yep, that looks like the decal I put on backwards! 🤪.

Excellent looking Bonty, though! Thumbs up!
