Seeing this is a Saturday ; I assumed I'd be working. Looks like it falls on a rare weekend off so I'll be attending ; not fit or brave enough to actually race but would like to come and hurl abuse at you all and also offer my 20+ years of bike shop experience to anyone who wants or needs it ; even silly stuff like pumping up tyres so riders can spare their energy for riding.

So how picky are they about the retro cat?

Could I ride my commuter - a '94 Univega with v brakes and relatively new wheels? Will they let me ride? And my partner rides a nice old Kona Somethingorother but it's mostly modernish components...

Or do we both have to buy new / old bikes

Looking forward to it anyway, even if we do get disqualified.

I think the prerequisite is pre-95 and I'm guessing that means at least the frame, and no disks
