Aren't people inexplicable

I just think people are strange in general but then again it might just be me as I am the same as Alison and Mark.

This happened to me many many years ago, I was sitting in my favourite cafe enjoying a nice cup of tea and a sandwich, a person I had known at school (Bully, and all round nasty piece of work), came in and sat across the table from me, stinking, high, and rancid. He said he needed my help as he felt like he wanted to end it all, so me overflowing with the milk of human kindness helped him.......

I pointed in the direction of our local river, a notorious black spot and said 'the river is down there just jump in it won't take long' .

No I don't feel bad as he is still about and if he had be at all serious he wouldn't be asking for pity (money).

Kerm, having been bullied at school, and then bullied by an ex with the constant threat of ending it all (he's still with us too) I think in the circumstances I would have escorted him to the river...

Alison, just heard an interesting little tale off a friend this arvo, some nasty vindictive gossips in the village down the road, where a friend of hers lives who is having great difficulties with her ex, had been putting it about that my mate was having an affair with him. This on the basis that my mate had been seen TALKING to him 5 months ago....

You can't win, it's human nature, and as I know from experience - people know a little bit, and then the rest they make up. Of course, you could heap coals on her head by being extremely nice to her, and then letting slip some little tit bit of (completely made up) local gossip. Then sit back and see how long it is 'til you hear it again with a completely different slant on it! :xmas-wink:

Many years ago, when my first born was b/w 18 months and 3, I worked in the cake factory my hubby worked in the office of, and a woman on the top half of the belt was telling everyone that I was putting my son in the boot of my car while I was at work, I was asked so many times by incredulous people if this was true. the funny thing was I never really had anything to do with her ever, we were separated by a huge freezer tunnel and both ends of the belt were run independently of each other :shock: By the way my son was at private nursery and I was paying an arm and a leg for it too.
